Old remedies for the skin and joints that haven’t forgotten how to heal.

Aayushi Ayurvedic Health Care Centre treats chronic skin conditions and pain disorders the way Kerala’s vaidyas always have — with warmed oils, herbal pastes and therapies measured in days, guided by a doctor who examines you, not just your symptoms.

Two paths, one tradition

What brings most people through our door

Every treatment plan begins with a consultation — your constitution, your history, and how the condition behaves day to day, before any oil is warmed.

For the skin

Persistent skin conditions are read as a sign that the body needs cleansing from within — not just a cream on the surface. Treatment combines internal medicines, herbal paste applications and dietary correction.

For joints & back

Long-standing stiffness, nerve pain and post-injury weakness respond to a sequence of warm-oil therapies that loosen tissue gradually, paired with internal medicines that work on the joint from inside.

Therapies we practise

Each one drawn from the same root

Names you may have heard from family who’ve had Ayurvedic treatment before — here, decided and sequenced by the doctor for your specific condition.

Abhyangam

Pain · General

Full-body massage with warm herbal oils chosen for your constitution. Improves circulation, loosens stiff muscles and is often the foundation of a longer course.

Pizhichil

Chronic pain

A continuous stream of warm medicated oil is poured over the body while gently massaged — used for long-standing joint pain, weakness and nerve-related stiffness.

Kati Vasti

Lower back

A dam of black gram dough is built around the lower back and filled with warm oil, allowing deep penetration into the lumbar region — for disc and sciatica-related pain.

Janu & Greeva Vasti

Knee & neck

The same oil-pooling technique applied to the knees or neck — for cervical spondylosis, frozen shoulder and knee-joint degeneration.

Elakizhi

Swelling & stiffness

Warm bundles of medicinal leaves are pressed and massaged over painful joints, reducing swelling and stiffness through gentle fomentation.

Njavarakizhi

Muscle nourishment

Boluses of medicated rice, cooked in milk and herbs, are massaged over the body — strengthening muscles and joints after injury or prolonged weakness.

Lepanam

Skin · Localised

Herbal pastes mixed fresh and applied directly to affected skin — used for psoriasis patches, eczema flare-ups and localised inflammation.

Takradhara

Skin & scalp

A steady stream of medicated buttermilk is poured over the head or body — cooling for inflamed skin conditions and calming for the nervous system.

Oils are warmed and proportioned fresh for each patient, before every session.
How we work

Treatment that follows your pattern, not a package

We don’t begin with a therapy menu. The doctor first looks at how your condition has progressed, your daily routine, diet and constitution (prakriti) — then puts together a course of therapies, internal medicines and simple home practices that work together over the weeks ahead.

Most courses run between 7 and 21 days, with progress checked and the plan adjusted as your body responds. Oils, pastes and decoctions are prepared on the premises in the quantities needed, rather than kept ready-made.
